Will Douglas was born and raised in the East Bay Area near Berkeley and currently resides in San Leandro, California. He is a public health professional and works for a community hospital foundation, focusing on community partnerships, fundraising, and grant-making to support the hospital and community-based partners.
Will grew up in a diverse community with a history of organizing for social justice. This experience influenced Will’s worldview and informed his lens for recognizing racial inequities. Although Will studied internationally and focused on global issues, he ultimately turned his attention to his local community in the East Bay. Making improvements for communities, specifically addressing health disparities and the legacy of racism in public health, is one of Will’s passions. People who experience injustice and continue to fight for justice every day bring Will hope and inspiration. Playing or listening to music with friends and spending time in nature brings Will joy. |
